Noni, known scientifically as Morinda citrifolia, is a tropical fruit found primarily in the South Pacific.
About the size of a potato, noni can vary in color from white to yellow to green. Tahitians have used noni for centuries because of its healthy benefits, and modern science is now helping define those benefits.
Ancient tradition and modern research both testify of the power of noni. A must for those concerned with overall wellness. Taken by thousands of people worldwide for its benefits.
• Fruit. It contains valuable components, mainly phytonutrients, and is the basis for the core product made from noni, Tahitian Noni™ Juice, called Original. Iridoids are the major phytonutirents in the fruit. Compared with flavonoids they are stable and heat-resistant. Used topically, noni fruit juice nourishes the skin.
• Leaf. Noni leaves are characterised by a high content of proteins and amino acids and contain, high levels of pro vitamin A, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin) and vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The popular noni tea is made out of the leaves and they are also used for extracts and gel. Noni leaf juice extract as well as the whole leaves of the tree were used by the Tahitian natives primarily to soothe the skin after traditional tattoos. The extract is cooling and positively affects skin irritation, including excessive sun exposure. The skin is refreshed, relieved and appears healthier.
• Seed. Noni seeds are a powerful source of linoleic acid-important for healthy–looking radiant skin and lustrous hair. The source of our precious Tahitian Noni™ Seed Oil.
